MIAMI-- At the New Miami Marlins Ballpark. Marlins introduced their newest Starting Pitcher Mark Buehrle.
Marlins reached an agreement with Mark Buehrle on a 4-year, 58 million deal on Wednesday, Buehrle pass his physical on Thursday.
Buehrle, 2011, 31 Games Started , Won 13, Lost 9, Era 3.59, K 109, Walks 45, WHIP 1.30, with the Chicago White Sox.
But Buehrle is 24-6 with a 3.32 ERA in interleague play, the most wins of any pitcher. Buerhle said "I think it will be an adjustment a little bit,' he said. "Hopefully it'll be a little easier not having to face that DH on every team."
But the first thing that Buehrle is going to do when he reports to Roger Dean Stadium in February is to go to the Batting Cages.
Buehrle said: "The better hitter I am,' he said, "the better chance I have going longer (into games).'
Other News: Right-handed pitcher Clay Hensley was designated for assignment, a move that signals he won't be part of the 2012 team.
